Hello everyone,

The week is over. It was very busy so I didn't have time to write this blog.
I had a superweek!

We started on Monday at 12.00 and by 17.30 we already had a rough beginning of the piece. The group exists of 4 people, Marne (Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag), Niek (Arnhemse dansacademie Artez), Besim (Rotterdamse dansacademie Codarts) and me.
I think it's a really interesting group, because of our different backgrounds and experiences. Plus all the boys are pleasant company, they take good care of me as the only girl in the group.

Ed is a great choreographer to work with, he opens new doors for me and gives me a lot of space to develop myself. Of course he also demands some personal input, but in a very relaxed way. It's stimulating, instead of demanding.

On Thursday the NPS (a Dutch broadcasting corporation) and the CJP (Cultureel Jongeren Paspoort) came to watch the rehearsel, to film, ask some questions and to shoot some pictures.

Yesterday was the last day, the piece is like a diamond, not finished and polished yet, but the rough version is there. We will for sure meet up a few more times in the coming months to finish and clean the piece.

There are several reasons for this blog. First of all it's because I represent Amsterdam in the piece Ed Wubbe is going to make for the 'De avond van de jonge danser 2009'.
Last February I was chosen together with five other people from Amsterdam, to participate in this audition. I enjoyed the audition much and lucky for me I became the chosen one.
Coming monday we'll start working on the piece, which has to be completed in one week. I'm looking forward to this coming period, as I have the opportunity to work with Ed Wubbe.
I'll write about this these coming weeks.

Second reason for this blog is to give my teachers inside-information in what I'm doing, what I'm working on, where I do my internships etc, etc.
